The Western Cape is renowned for offering some of the world’s finest beaches. Powder white beaches, azure ocean, dramatic African skies, imposing mountains, and this all bound intrinsically together. This is the Overberg region of the Western Cape.
Pringle Bay boasts a long white beach, with dunes on the one side, the ocean on the other and mountains as far as the eye can see. Pringle Bay main beach is located 238 metres north of Moonstruck Guesthouse. This is our main swimming beach and also a superb beach to watch sunsets over the bay towards Cape Point. The area is a treasure trove for beach lovers/strandlopers. Apart from the main beach, there are small coves and “secret” beaches along our coastline.
Our neighbouring village Betty’s Bay also offers many beaches, including Main beach, Dawidskraal (favoured by fishermen), Silversands ( renown for the nautilus paper shell) and Jocks Bay cove. The town of Kleinmond’s main beach enjoys blue flag status. Further afield there is Bikini beach in Gordons Bay and Hermanus’s finest beach called Grotto Beach.
